• I am a relatively new WordPress user. My question is, how do I “scroll” entries to a “back” page?

    That is, I now have about a half dozen entries. They are all on the home page. The oldest ones are no longer current. What I would like is for the oldest ones to be moved to some “back” page where they remain viewable via a search or via someone wanting to scroll through past entries.

    Is there some way to set WordPress up so that older posts are automatically moved to a back page, based on some criterion? If so, how is this done? If not, how do I manually set up to accomplish this goal? Thanks.

  • Go to:
    admin -> options -> reading
    Here you can specify number of posts to display on front or number of days to display on front.

    Thanks for the reply. I am still a bit lost.

    I clicked on the Site Admin link from my blog’s home page. From there, I saw a link to Options (it’s in the row of buttons that start with Dashboard, Write, etc.). I click to go to the Options page, but I do not see any Reading option there. Just General and Date & Time. I assume I must be in the wrong place. But I am not sure where the right place is.

    Isn’t there a second menu bar under the first that says “General Writing Reading Discussion Permalinks Miscellaneous”?

    “And so there is,” I reply, more than a bit embarrassed to have missed this. 🙂

    Thanks for the quick replies!
