Question about link images in categories

    I’m using Mark Little’s Journalized Winter theme.
    To create a list of links down the right-hand side he calls wp_get_linksbyname with the name of the category.

    No matter how I set up the link_image value it doesn’t show up.

    I tried amending links.php to put in some extra echos in get_links to see what was going on but they don’t show up either. In fact I changed the href to hogref and the link still has href.
    Why aren’t my hacks showing up ? Has the PHP been compiled to somewhere else (sorry if that was a really newbie-type question).

    Thanks for your help. I’ve been pulling my hair out for over two hours now. That hasn’t help either.

    Have you set the Link Category these Links are within to display images?

    Yes. I set the image URI of the link to a full http:// path of the image on my website – and I’ve tested this path in my browser.
    If I set the Link Category to NOT display images, I get a text only link. If I check the image box for the category, the link doesn’t show at all !
