  • I’m also having the same issue. Using LiteSpeed as my webserver, with Disk: Enhanced and Disk giving me random 404 from time to time, that only get fixed when i refresh cache.

Things are getting so bad that the 404 page is in the top 5 pages most see on the blog! Using latest version of WP and W3 Total Cache.

First i thought it was something with my server, but on a test VPS i have with Ubuntu 12.04 + Nginx + APC + Varnish + Percona MySQL, i’m getting the random 404 too…

Any help about it? I love W3 Total Cache and i won’t stop using it… but i’m losing trafic because of this error, and it seems W3 Total Cache is the cause :/

I get 404’s on minified JS & CSS if I try to use APC. It seems to work OK with Disk Enhanced.

I’ve encountered the same problem even using MemcacheD.

I’m also having the same issue than Julian Fernandes.
Julian did you solve your problem ?
    Thanks

@toutlunivers I’m not using Page cache anymore. Right now i use Nginx with microcache mounted on a RAM partition.

I only use W3 Total Cache for minify, CDN and DB cache.

This problem has come back for me too… has been plaguing the site for a little over a week and I’ve tried almost every permutation I can think of to get to the bottom of it.

What’s really odd is that the plugin worked great for over a year, then one day just started throwing random 404s… seems most commonly on recently published posts.

Absolutely no idea what’s causing it… and very hard to test because it can be hours after any change that the 404s start popping up again.

Please check with a fix for NGINX config here.

Anyone see this problem while using Yoast SEO plugin?

I’m still having these darn things and am trying desperately to figure out what the conflict is. The most complex plugin I have is Yoast SEO … but it’s a bear to turn it off for the 24-48 hours needed to test.

Does anyone know a way to write a script that, say, clears the cache every 10 minutes? I’m losing my mind about this problem. I have a truly unusable site because of these 404s and still no solution in site…
