[Plugin: Advanced Excerpt] Cannot control excerpt length

    I installed the plugin and it appears to be working since it keeps the formatting of the excerpt intact. However I cannot control the length of the excerpt, and even though I select to finish the word/sentence – the excerpt continues to cut off mid word. I’ve tried both excerpt and advanced excerpt – nothing changes. What could be wrong?

    I’ve only had success putting my word count below 45 words. If I have the word count above 45 words, my ‘Read more’ text doesn’t appear. I’m assuming there’s a conflict with the default 55 words set by WordPress.

    Try putting this in your functions

    remove_all_filters('the_excerpt');
