There are literally thousands of WordPress themes – which means that many people won’t be familiar with your particular theme. So a link to your site where people can see the theme might result in more responses.
My index page is not a “page” it is a “post”
See creating a static front page. Then stick to just publishing Pages – not Posts.
Kennyb_iv, as it is written above, You should create a static front page -> http://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page
Do You need support/help?
Yup. I’ve gone ahead and done that. Thanks! But I am still having the issue of wanting to remove the “REPLY” Comment box at the bottom of every page. I’d like to get rid of it. Don’t know how. Any help in that would be much appreciated.
To disallow comments from already published pages:
Pages -> select them all and choose “Edit” under bulk actions -> click “Apply” -> choose “do not allow” next to comments -> click “update”.
WOW. Awesome! So Simple! THANK YOU.

Hi. I am a complete novice and do not know code. I’m using the template ‘WPstart’ to create a simple, static, information site. This is not a blog, and there is no purpose for anyone to comment, send a reply, or know when something was posted and by whom.
My index page is not a “page” it is a “post” (which I dont quite understand), so it has a byline for “Author” and “Date” and such. I want to get rid of that. And each additional page has a “Reply” box at the bottom of the page for comments. I want to get rid of that too. So far I have not found any easy way to do it. I’ve tried it via the widgets, with no luck.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
