• For the past day, every few hours I’ve been notified that I have a “broken link”, but when I click on the link and the source, it works fine. Is this something I should ignore? If I am able to click on said link, does that mean everyone else can too? What should I do? I’ve never had this issue before. I don’t know if my wordpress is going haywire or what, because I’ve been having different issues today.

  • What notification? Google, Broken Link Checker … or some other?

Sorry, from Broken Link Checker in my dashboard.

    Ok.
Is your link or to external site? 404 error?
Can you give us this url?

When I click the link, it works fine. My link is not to an external site, just a link on one page to another page.

    This is the link

There is no error when I click the link, but the broken link checker status says “503 Service Unavailable”

    Also this:

    HTTP/1.1 503 Service Unavailable

    503 Service Unavailable
The server is currently unavailable (because it is overloaded or down for maintenance)

    Your site need optimisation.
    Use cache plugin…
    Check YSlow to find problems.

Thank you! I do have a cache plugin. Should I “empty” it? Also, what would I do with YSLOW? I’m a newbie at this.
