Lot map with status update function

    For a client that sells lots to build a house on I’m looking for a way to do the following:

    – show a simple, drawn map depicting the project area with all the lots in it.

    – each lot can be given a status (for sale, sold) marked by a specific color

    – a way to update this status via WP-admin

    I’ve searched for a long time, and can only find Google maps related stuff, but not a map I can load in myself.

    Does anyone have an idea on an existing plugin or how to go about creating it?
