Upgrading WordPress if you use a custom theme

    Hello,

    On my WordPress site there is a custom theme, created when a site was ported from MovableType to WordPress. My WordPress 3.3.2 installation is up to date, but I know a WordPress update is planned or May. How or will updating my WP site affect my custom theme?
