I’ve only looked at them briefly but one of these might work for you.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/follow-button-for-jetpack/

Use the second plugin if you are using Jetpack.

I downloaded that and there is a little star at the top of each post. I clicked it but it does nothing.
I am looking for a dedicated box for subscribers or followers on my side bar. Thanks for you help.
