Why restore default theme is not straightforword in WP?

    Hi,

    I’m checking to find a simple and quick way to restore the default theme but it seems not so easy task!
    Why it is not as simple as changing restore themes in Chrome or firefox for example?
    Is there any simple way to go back to the default theme?

    wtf are you talking about? Themes –> Activate WordPress 2011 Theme. Done.

    Thanks.
    I’m talking about the theme packed by default when we install WP.
    I even don’t see the default theme in the theme list available!

    2011 is the default theme.

    Many revisions ago, the default theme was actually named ‘Default’

    That is no longer the case. The default theme changes every so often. It was 2010, now it’s 2011, soon (probably WP 3.5) it will be 2012.

    In my mind, this is a strange way to call default themes by dates!

    Maybe. It makes sense if you keep up on WordPress news

    It was announced quite some time ago that WP would try to implement a yearly new base theme – a way to show off new features, keep things fresh, etc.
