[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] NGG and Feature Image Issue

I am using the mysitemyway.com Construct theme, well trying to anyway. and the them doesn’t recognize anything uploaded via NGG as featured image. It will load images into the posts, pages and galleries, jsut not as a featured image. It is the only area where there is an issue.

I am told the reason is,

“If you open up /wp-content/themes/costruct/lib/functions/image.php you will see on line 33 that we are grabbing the featured image as an attachment,

$image = mysite_image_by_attachment();

I’m not sure how they are saving their image information but apparently it isn’t as attachments, perhaps they are using their own table in the database.”

Do you have any suggestions on how to make this theme play nice with NGG
