    Hi,

I am new to wordpress as well as coding. I am currently using Mystique theme for my site. I did some changes to header.php file by reducing the margins and inserting a flash header.

I have set a static “Welcome” page for my site and set the posts’ page to a page called: “Income-tax updates”. When I click on that page “Income-tax updates”, it shows me all the posts. But the page shows the posts in a clumsy format instead of the style of the template I have selected.

    Here’s the link: http://www.psheth.com/income-tax-updates/

I restored the original header.php file and even deleted the code to reduce margins; but the issue still remains unresolved.

    Please help!!

  • I can tell you that your NOT linking to the themes stylesheet. So I would download it again and copy header.php again, specifically everything between <head> </head>

Thank you. I did try replacing my custom header code with the default one of Mystique. But that did not work. As you suggested, my posts’ page is not linked to the themes stylesheet. How do I link it.

Also, is there any alternative where I can put it some php code and get the posts on that particular page.

    Hello rushu25,

I am having the same issues, but with the Hatch theme.
I have a static Welcome page, and a specific posts page, but the format of the posts display is not similar to the style of the default template.

Do you any idea which is the php template file for the default front page of the themes?

    Irvin.

I reinstalled the theme and again made the changes to styles.css and header.php file to insert the flash header. Now after reinstalling, the posts appear as per the styles. Dont know what went wrong earlier!!

@irvin – you could also try reinstalling the theme and make necessary amends.
