1and1 and wordpress

    Good Day All,

    I manage 2 WP sites namely http://www.thesouthafrican.com and http://www.australiantimes.co.uk..

    Since moving the website over to 1and1 the websites get Internal Error at random times, and “support” says that they dont see any Issues.

    We recently sent out our Newsletter and the website gives Internal Server Error… when you refresh it shows…

    Anyway i have turned to the masters of WP..

    What will be the best plan of action to elminate the problem?

    What questions do i have to ask 1and1?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Yesterday we sent out our enews newsletter..

    And before we sent it, it worked fine. So to my thinking it might be the the server giving the 500 errors.. once the website gets the traffic.

    I have emailed the Hosting again.. and yet they seem to notice the error and say they recommend using Firefox.. wtf..

    I will try some of the list points you have given..
