    The bulk user subscribe functionality only works on the admin user (i.e. The admin user is the only user affected by the bulk subscribe function.)

    I initially thought this problem had been caused by the fact that I’d imported most of my users, but no, I’ve just replicated this behaviour on a completely fresh WordPress 3.3.2 installation (though, come to think about it, through my ISP’s ‘one-click install’ process). Can anyone replicate it elsewhere?

    Just for clarity, here’s what I did in the Subscribers section of Settings:-

    – Select ‘All Registered Users (849)’ from the drop down list
    – Click Filter
    – Scroll to bottom of page
    – Select Subscribe radio button
    – Select all [categories] checkbox
    – Click Bulk Update Categories

    After which, only one user (the admin user) appears in the drop down filter list under Registered Subscribers, all other users remain unsubscribed.

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Martin.

  • @martinofmoscow,

    I’ve got a fix on the way for this already. Give the development code and try and it should be fixed.

    Fantastic, that’s fixed it. Many thanks for the rapid response, much appreciated, as is the plugin, which is great. Kudos to you.

    @martinofmoscow,

    Thanks for confirming the fix, I’m hoping to release an official next version pretty soon if I can iron out another couple of things.

    I have the most recent update and I’m still not able to bulk subscribe my registered users. Am I doing something wrong?

    @kendraberry@gmail.com,

    The fix as confirmed above was pushed out in version 8.3. If you are using that version please give details of the steps you are following so I can check for issues.

    I go into the subscribers area in the dashboard and see the list of subscribers and the check mark, exclamation and x but only on the top line before the subscriber names. no option to change anything as bulk. only can edit each subscriber individually.

    @kendraberry@gmail.com,

    You need to filter on a Registered user type before the Bulk section even appears. When you fist go to Subscribe2->Subscribers it will display Public Subscribers for whom Bulk Updates are irrelevant.
