How do I change the page name that displays in the page list?

    Page Lists Plus doesnt seem to let me do this.

    I want the name of a page in the page list to be different then the actual page name because my template uses the page name to display on the top of the page… and in my page list I need to add some identifier data and append words like “free” or “member” to a duplicate of the page that I have created.

    Any ideas?

    When you say “on the top of the page” do you mean the title of the page that shows up at the very top of the browser bar?

    Or do you mean the heading of the page that shows up within the content area (example: this page says “Forums”, but the title on the browser bar is “WordPress > Support >> How do i change….”)

    1. Name the page what you want it to be

    2. Be sure to assign the appropriate url if using pretty permalinks

    3. To assign a custom title to every page, install an SEO plugin such as All in one SEO. There will be a field in editing view on each page in the dashboard to add this

    4. If you’re referring to the header tag that WordPress themes often include in the loop of the template (<h> tags), simply remove them from the loop of the template files and then place them with style tags with your other content. this would be like the word “Forums” on this page, or “How do I change the page name….”
