Support » Fixing WordPress » All Pages Blank

  • I was messing around with plugins on my site (http://digamejh.melankolly.com/blog), then all of a sudden every page started coming up blank! I tried multiple browses, and even multiple computers, to no avail.

I next tried installing the most recent version of WordPress (2.0.4), and all of the static pages work, but none of the PHPs. All of the page sources were completely blank.

My wordpress database is still in place–although interestingly, the proper error screen came up when it couldn’t connect to the database correctly. I editied the wp-config.php accordingly, then when it should have connected and worked, the page was blank.

Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.
    Thank you.

Edit: After researching the problem some more, it probably was a plugin… How can I remedy the problem without having a functional dashboard?
    Thanks again.

  • If you have access to your server files (via your server, NOT via your dashboard) then delete the plugin (and all it’s associated files and folders) you think may have caused the problem. This is probably the plugin you were “messing around with” when the problem started. If the plugin required you to add any code into another page on your site be sure to delete this too. Keep deleting one plugin at a time until your site is back to normal.

Also, when you install a new version of WP you must run the install program. Are you sure you’ve done this?

Lemme know if you need more help.
