Theme link color affecting WP Admin bar

Hello! I’m using the theme Yoko, and I’ve noticed that the link color I set in the theme affects the text links in the WP Admin bar when I’m viewing my site while logged in.

Does anyone know how I can tweak the CSS in Yoko to fix this?

Try using Firefox with the Firebug add-on for this kind of CSS work.

It looks like the reason is that Yoko just sets the chosen link color on a {}, which affects all links. What is the “proper” way to set site-wide links but not affect the header?

the admin bar? as in the wordpress bar at the top that says “howdy, admin” and all that??

You (re)set the color on (say) #header a.

It’s strange, I set the #wpadminbar a {color: } property, but it seems like it’s getting overridden still. Is this the right thing to be setting, in my child theme’s style.css?

I am looking at Firebug, but it seems to me the only thing overriding it is admin-bar.css. But I’m assuming that’s probably not true?
