• Hi

I just had a programmer install and create the layout of my wordpress site. I have noticed that during this development I have on and off getting different access rights, I mean one day I can see most in control panel, and another day I can only view items.

I can not see or find in the wp control panel where or who has been giving access rights??

I mean is there somewhere I can see who has access and how much they can do to the site??

    Please advice…

  • When logged into the WordPress admin area, go to the users page. This will show you a list of all site users and their role. If you cannot see this page then you are probably not an administrator. You should be, so ask your developer to change your permissions.

More info about users levels and their respective permissions

If you’ve hired this developer, you should ask him to give you full admin rights. It’s your website and thus you should be able to see everything.

I know that some developers don’t like to do this because they don’t want their work to get accidentally ruined, but it’s better if you have access…
