Custom URL in [gallery] with Cleaner Gallery installed

I’m using Cleaner Gallery to format my [gallery] shortcodes for a slider. It’s working great, except that I also need to link the images in the slider to custom URLs.

I found this plugin: http://geekeemedia.com/wordpress/add-a-custom-url-to-your-wordpress-gallery-images/ which seems to do what I want, except that it doesn’t work. I can only assume it’s because Cleaner Gallery is editing the gallery output as well.

Is there a way to make these two plugins work together, or even edit Cleaner Gallery to accept and use custom URLs on its own? I’ve tried messing around on my own, but with no success.
