• I am in the final stages of completing a new theme for my dearauthor.com blog. This is the testing site I use. I would love some feedback.

There are a couple of questions that I would love to have feedback on:

    1) is the shelf with the tabs and popups too much?
    2) I have some redundancy in the archives/contact, etc. should that be eliminated?
    3) The main blog is mostly a book review site and we want those easy to find. Should the “review” category have its own page or simply link to the ELA?
    4) Is it too pink? Should I have some more green around?

As a caveat, I have not yet validated it with the recent changes and I have not yet figured out how to make it so that one tab is active and one is not. Any critcism is welcome. I have thick skin.

  • I like the dark red you use in the body, but why don’t you keep it the same as the top?

    The

    • markers aren’t that clear. Good idea, maybe a different icon.

I think its looking prety nice. The way you have used greybox is absolutly great.

rtbuley – do you mean the little green arrows aren’t visible as bullets in a list? and by red, you mean the red for the words instead of white?

red-star – how would I have someone close the box, i.e., if I had a search box and when the results came up, the search page would load in the main page and the greybox would close? Is that some variation of the GB_hide()?
