Please correct me if I’m wrong. If I understand it correctly, you have a category (custom taxonomy?) wihtin a tag? What rules should be followed according to you at that point? The tag rules or the custom taxonomy rules? Or maybe even something else?

Custom taxonomies are ony supported for posts and pages by the way.

Thanks for the reply. It’s more like a category__in that has_tag. I have a custom menu link pointing to a Tag archive BUT I have that Tag page only show posts within Cat = 1 with Tag = my-tag.

    My-Post-Article
    — Cat1
    —- my-tag

    example.com/tag/my-tag/?cat=1

    thx

Right… I think I got it. I think DW detects this archive page as a category archive page. There is not really much I can do about that. There is however an item on the whishlist that might ‘fix’ this problem: Adding a rule method for URLs. Basically you would then be able to add “/tag/my-tag/*” as a logical rule condition.

Just to let you know, the latest development version 1.5.2.1 does support URLs. http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/dynamic-widgets.zip
