Highlight parent page in navigation when on child page

    Hi,

    I’ve been reading countless threads about this until now, and I can’t get this to work. So here’s the deal.

    I use a TwentyEleven child theme and have a custom navigation set up.

    The pages in the navigation have child pages, but I don’t use subpages in the navigation.

    And that’s where the problem arises. When I do use subpages in my custom menu, then the parent pages remain highlighted when I’m on a subpage. As soon as I remove the subpage from the custom menu navigation and browse this child page, the parent isn’t highlighted anymore.

    What can I do to prevent this?
