Support » Fixing WordPress » Site works fine, but the DB has 0 tables

  • So here’s the thing. The website http://www.millmountain.org is fully functional. All the plugins, widgets and other content are fine.

But I am unable to log into the background with a username and password that I KNOW work.

When I check the phpMyAdmin on the hosting manager, it is showing 0 tables?!?

Isn’t it impossible for the WordPress site to run without information in the database?

I’ve tried backups from the host’s server, but those also show 0 tables. And unfortunately, I don’t have any backups on my local server.

  • Try viewing your wp-config.php in the root directory of your WordPress website and look for the database info being used. It’s probably not the same as the one your viewing in phpMyAdmin.

Thanks, jomsky. But I have checked that and the information matches exactly.
