So I’m working on building a multisite niche website and wanted to get some input from the community regarding what should be a higher priority. Should the content drive the features or is it the other way around?

Generally speaking, content should always be priority. Depending on the features, you might want to rank what you need at launch and then continue to add features afterwards while consistently producing fresh content.

Content drives everything! It determines your features, and it’s what gets you customers/readers/members!

All of my websites have evolved over time, adding and removing features. Your focus may change, etc. It stems from your content and how that evolves your community!

Good to know. My general feeling is that the content should come first and features should be added along the way as readership improves. Personally I would hate to spend a lot of time developing features that may or may not get adopted by the community or need features that I didn’t foresee.

Thanks for the input, any other thoughts on the topic?
