    Hello,

First, I really want to thank Fredericktownes for his wonderful work.
I understand why this plugin is used on so many websites. It’s a must have plugin according to me. The performance boost is phenomenal.

I have just installed W3 Total Cache on my new Nginx server with wordpress multisite.

I have enabled the plugin on several blogs on the network, and everything is perfect.
But when I enable a domain mapping plugin (I have tried Wpmudev domain mapping plugin and WordPress Mu Domain mapping) W3TC seems to be disabled.

When I go to http://www.network_domain.com/site1 (subdirectory install) I still have the perfomance boost, but when I go to http://www.site1.com (mapped to the previous site) the performance boost is lost.

Is there anybody who managed to use W3TC with a domain mapping plugin ?

    Thanks for your help

After some research in the forum I found that I’m not the only one to have a problem with w3tc and domain mapping. I found a possible explanation of the pb here : http://www.nsilverbullet.net/2011/11/11/w3-total-cache-and-wordpress-network-issues/

As I understood, the next w3tc release should better handle domain mapping.

Waiting for this new release, I decided to use wp super cache. WP Super Cache is easy to setup and works perfectly with WordPress Mu Domain mapping plugin (same developer).

W3TC definitely works with domain mapping, whether not you have the correct nginx config’ for multi-site is something to be discussed.
