   Hi,

   If it is possible I would like to have more fields in the write post page like the title and have the contents posted above the post text.
   i.e. the post screen would look like so
   Write Post
   Title
   |____________|
   extra field 1
   |____________|
   extra field 2
   |____________|
   Post
   | |
   | |
   |____________|

   I had a look in the wp-admin/post.php file but could not understand what was going on (sorry php amateur :P).
   I presume that this modification would require me to add new columns to my mySQL posts table and that is pretty simple to do, its just the php that I cant figure out.

   Otherwise, if that is not possible can you set the default content in the new post text box.
   i.e. have
   Make: -
   Model: -
   …etc
   So I can just fill in the blanks without worrying about copying the headings from the previous post.

   I hope this all makes sense and if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great

   Check out this custom fields plugin:

   http://rhymedcode.net/projects/custom-field-gui

   The fields show up at the bottom of the write post interface, but I think that can be modified with some care....check the comments on the developer's site, and if you can't find the specifics you can ask the developer about it. He is good at responding quickly.
