    Hi all,
I have only used Wampserver to ‘play around’ with multisite using sub-directories and have no experience with hosting wordpress.
My question is when opening a hosting account I understand you need a registered domain, you would then use that for the wordpress install, once multisite is installed, would you still be able to build a site on the install domain or does that just become an install /admin domain that you then map other domains through parked domain option, so in a way wasting the install domain, or am I way off the mark here.
I have some domain’s registered, what I don’t want to do is use one of my useful domain’s to install wordpress if I can’t then make use of it after.
I hope you understand what I trying to find out.

You can still use the domain. It’s a ‘real’ domain, available for using as a site 🙂

So some of you must have multisite and domain mapping all set up and running, just wondering who do you use for hosting?

Ah. We aren’t permitted to give hosting recomendations. However, if you were to go to my site (linked off my name), you would see a link on my site 🙂
