Display issues with WP-Creativix (Slideshow)

Short history: I had a previous version of this theme with my old host, and I’m trying to get the new version working with my new host.

The two things I’d like to solve are with the slideshow: The display of the nav is broken, and hangs low. Also, it’s showing all posts in the slideshow; the previous version let me limit what posts would show in there.

So, there are problems, and I’m not sure why. When I had this theme before, I didn’t know about child themes, and made some changes to the code directly (bad idea). But with this newer version of the theme on my new host, this is a clean install of the theme, with brand new files, unless there is something lurking in the database somewhere.
