right sidebar disappears

    no sidebar on single posts is the default behaviour of your theme.

    you might need to tick some options with the ‘theme extension’ plugin (?)

    this is the plugin I changed setting in:
    Twenty Eleven Theme Extensions (by MozTools)

    This is the setting I selected:
    Widget Sidebar
    Enable the widget sidebar on single-post pages
