Existing site moved to WordPress

I would love your comments and perhaps some advice. I would have liked (on the navigation bar) for ‘vintage products’ to be positioned over the side bar but in this position the text ‘your shopping cart is empty’ is visible through the drop-down submenu list and it interferes with the links. This happens in I.E. but not Firefox.

I have moved the menu item to the left and even though the WPSC text still intrudes slightly it does not interfere with navigation.

Can anyone help?
