Support » Plugins » [Plugin: CataBlog] Using my theme's lightbox instead of CataBlog's?

  • I would like to integrate as much of my theme’s style sheets into CataBlog as possible. I’m using Dandelion from Pexeto / Themeforest. While Dandelion comes with a Portfolio Gallery template, it doesn’t currently support some of the more advanced gallery features that I’m looking for, such as sub-galleries, etc, so that’s why I’m using CataBlog. But, it looks pretty and handles pagination and pre-loading well! I also can’t utilize the Portfolio Gallery template to show a gallery within another portfolio page, so that’s another reason.

    Dandelion comes with a jQuery lightbox pre-installed that has a good look and feel. CataBlog also comes with the option to turn on a Lightbox feature in the settings, but I’m guessing if I switch that on, it will call its own JavaScript functions into play.

    Rather than calling two JavaScript functions and trying to make CataBlog’s look and act exactly like my theme’s, I’d like CataBlog to simply call Dandelion’s script and styles instead, so everything will be uniform site-wide.

    The Lightbox my theme uses is

    jquery.prettyPhoto.js- this ithe jQuery plugin for lightbox effect for the images on the portfolio page- downloaded from http://www.no-margin-for-errors.com/projects/prettyPhoto-jquery-lightbox-clone/#download

    and is located at:
    /wp-content/themes/dandelion_v268/script/jquery.prettyPhoto.js

    WAH!!!

    After 4 hours…

    rel="lightbox[group]"

    That’s all I had to do. I’m so proud of myself.
