Hello, as for a startup, I have purchased a 30 mb hosting account. Will it be possible for me to install WordPress 3.3.1 in this 30 mb and post contents?

Just don’t use too many and most of all not too large images, since they do take up serverspace.

    30 mb hosting account….

30 MB as in disk space? Or memory? You will run out of memory quickly with only 30 MB.

@elan is wrong and @roy correct: you may quickly run out of disk space, too, for uploads.

Do yourself a favor and get a better hosting plan. They’re cheap. Recommended WordPress Web Hosting

Elan was not entirely wrong. The WP files take up some serverspace, but no 30MB. The posts, pages, etc. are stored in the database which makes a lot less serverspace than the good old html files. But of course, there’s more that takes up serverspace, themes, plugins, but most of all, images, videos. Should you have take up the idea to make available PDF or MP3 downloads, that will be a big ‘nono’.

i was speaking of hosting space. With just a few plugins, will it work fine in 30mb?

@roshgorg: give it a try. WP itself is just under 13 megs without anything else. WP makes multiple thumbs and sizes of images on uploads, too.

    Still: Recommended WordPress Web Hosting

I can’t check how much I use (I’m at work), but 30MB is very little. The new WP could well be something like 10MB. Add a theme, a couple of plugins and you’re off towards 20MB. In that case you will never be able to add a single image to the website and I’m afraid that you’ll run into serverspace issues once you get the hang of having a website.
