• Hi John,

Been a while. Everything is working great, but one issue cropped up:
I started using polylang, since I got non-dutch requests for translations. I have been trying to figure out wether or not I could use eCampaign in different instances (same petition, different languages)

Polylang works by linking seperate pages (so: different page ID). I tried to set up a new petition on a page, but ran into some problems:

    • My confirmation email is quite extensive, since it is the welcome email to the site and contains passwords etc. I have not found a way to translate it
    • The counter counts english and dutch guests seperately since they are on different pages

Would you happen to have a suggestion how to deal with these issues? I suppose I could make the confirmation mail bilingual, but if I add any more languages that wouldn’t do either

    Sincerely,

    Mark

Mark, sorry I have only just seen this (need to change my notifications). Wow. What a tricky problem! If you haven’t sorted this out, I will reply tomorrow.

Mark, I cannot offer any simple solutions. I had never envisaged that multi languages on the same site would be needed. The confirmation email is tricky as you say. However the sum of the english and dutch counts could be accessed with an SQL query and dropped in the page using some PHP in an SQL snippet or even dbview (but the table frame would get in the way). The count is stored in post_meta.

I have thought of storing the details of each ecampaign in its own database record, rather than in the page text which would solve the counter problem but it has drawbacks!

    Happy to accommodate any suggestions.

John, I will work on the suggestions, for now I will start with a bi-lingual mail I guess.

It will be a while before I can crack my head about this one.
