[Plugin: bbPress] Unable to change forums ordering in forum archive and forum lists

    I’m running WP 3.3.1 and bbPress plugin 2.02

    I’ve moved my forums from a 1.x standalone installation to 2.x plugin version successfully, getting back all my forums, topics, replies and users.

    However I have a issue altering the order of forums, both old and newly created ones.

    No matter how I change the order number in each forum edit page, the order seems to be decided by wordpress/bbpress no matter what. It seems like the order being decided upon ID number rather than order number entered, but I’m not 100% sure on this.

    I’ve also tried using a plugin called Simple page orderning which introduces a drag and drop ajax ordering for pages and hierarchical post types (like forums in bbP 2.x), also without success.

    On bbPress forum they told me this is a known bug, http://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-2-plugin-forum-order-doesnt-work-not-appearing-in-correct-order

    but I haven’t got further info on it – anyone here found a workaround?

    With the recent updates of BBPRess the issue seem to be solved

    I didn’t do anything – I had also another issue with dates not being displayed in a user friendly format (ie I had messages marked with “posted 473 days ago” instead of “posted 1 year, months ago”) – that is solved as well with the recent updates
