The author was probably over enthusiastic about his achievements. An honest programmer would have put out the upgrade as a 2alpha0 version, not a ..5

Luckily he does not update his blog, so I could get the “old” (i.e. fully functional) 1.2.0 from there to roll back.

So WATCH IT, this plugin might be great (that’s what I thought until a few minutes ago), but the programmer does not really care about upgrading an existing install, it seems.

We applogize but going forward we have upgraded the script so that upgrades can be seemless

What do you mean by “we have upgraded the script” … is there any difference between the 1.2.5 that came alive yesterday and the one that’s up there now?

    Scripthead

    (@scripthead)

No 1.2.5 is the current version i was referring to 1.0. We included esay upgrades from 1.2.5 to future versions

So I had an issue with 1.2.5 on a multi-site install. I had the agenda shown under 1.2.0 on a page, but when I installed 1.2.5 the agenda would disappear and get replaced by some unclickable links … did not have the time to investigate in detail but reverted to 1.2.0 due to time constraints. Any idea?

    Thread Starter ptroxler

    (@ptroxler)

…actually: not unclickable links, but only agenda of today, not of next upcoming events. can I send screenshots somewhere?

    Scripthead

    (@scripthead)

No sure 1.2.5 has totally different UI , we would have to investigate further

can I assist in any way? just noticed that GUI would not display ANY events that were there under 1.2.0 (and come back when I revert) — the events are not in the html source either

… so at face value we’re looking at a major, major bug here

you can sign up at our support website and send me screen shots. BTW we generally don’t give support for free versions but since this is major upgrade i would like to see any bugs there. http://www.mycalpress.com/
