    Hello,

I worked on a customizing a theme and made a child to the parent theme on a local host. I really don’t need posts from the blog. Couldn’t I just upload the parent theme and the child theme without the old database I used on a local server?

    omg! 😉

Thank you for such a quick response. I have someone waiting for weeks to see the site. I did create pages and menus. Will that still be there without the old database?

I have been pulling my hair out for the last couple of days in panic mode. Will I need to change any urls or permalinks or will anything unforeseen come up LOL?

If you just want your new parent & child theme on your remote site, all you have to do is upload the theme folders to wp-content/themes. Then they’ll work just like any other theme (eg Twenty Eleven) when you activate one of them. No other changes needed.
