Some Advice Please

    Hi all

    I’m hoping to get soem advice and i feel this is the best forum for the question.

    I’m embarking on leaving my job and becoming a consultant, and splitting my time with my writing. I’m about 80% done with my author site (using wordpress 3.0.1 and the colorlabs backbone theme), and i want to start on the consultancy side of things soon.

    So my question is:

    – Can i designate a page within my existing website (have a navigation menu tab saying consultancy for example), but have it so it uses it’s own url and own custom header (with my personal logo instead of my author logo)

    – Or will i need to go down the multi site route.

    – Or should i just set up two separate wordpress sites and then link them together via url links?

    I really want to work off the same wordpress username and platform, and ideally use the same pluggins and theme etc

    What would you suggest as the most effective way of doing this?

    I’m a newbie when it comes to this kind of thing, but learning all the time and open to trying some new skills. Any thoughts from any of you????

    It would be ‘easier’ to use Multisite, since normal WP doesn’t lend itself as well to the mapping. That also gives you one place to login, update plugins and themes, etc etc.

    thanks for the comments. I have some things to consider i think, because getting it right from the get go is vital
