I’m wanting to run a contest for people who help answer reader’s questions via the comments, giving a prize to those who answer the most. Which has sent me down the rabbit hole of top commenter plugins. I installed one which puts the list in the sidebar, which works well where someone has a unique name. But when I try to find which “John” left 10 comments, well, it got harder. So I found another plugin which shows how many comments each person has made in the admin panel. But the numbers don’t match!
So, barring any other bright ideas anyone may have, I was wondering about downloading the WP comments table and trying to extract the data from there, but I don’t see an option for that in CPanel.
