wow, I can’t shut off vertical scrollbars in the content of posts and pages in internet explorer 9 — every little item has its own unnecessary scroll bar

I wish I could blow it off since it works perfectly in firefox and chrome but it is so stupid in ie I can’t get away with being lazy. I’ve added overflow: auto; everywhere and nothing works but I’m managed to turn off scrolling for the whole site and that’s no good.

I’m thinking that I have to get into the more primitive areas of ie but I can’t find out where because firebug etc don’t work with ie.

Any ideas on how to trouble shoot this issue would be greatly appreciated–a sloppy ugly work-around is just fine with me.

    Thanks

    Thanks for replying!

Unfortunately he blog is in maintenance mode cause it’s just not ready but here is something wild! if I put a `</div> in front of the page or post the scrollbars go away in internet explorer but then so do the sidebars in firefox. Chrome is ok.

    Is this a clue?

    Thanks again

it sounds like you have html errors like a tag missing or something

run it through the w3c validator and see what it coughs up:
