Brian’s Threaded Comments & Link Truncator = Posts Gone

I’m currently using WordPress 2.0, and today I tried to install Brian’s Threaded Comments Hack so I could reply to a comment someone had made on a post. I did what it had said (that is, make a backup of my template’s comments.php page, add the plugin file to the plugin directory, put that comments file in my theme’s folder, and then activate the plugin), but, after that, when I went to my website, it said, “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.”

I also installed this link truncator plugin.

I’ve tried undoing both–deleting the plugin files, replacing the comments page with my original one, deactivating the plugins. But the posts are still gone.

Does anyone know what’s going on? I’m sorry, but I’m a real newbie with this kind of stuff :p Any help would be enormously appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!
