I’m currently moving two of my blogs to another domain.

One of them is 1.5MB (now at A.com) and moves flawlessly to B.com, pulling all the images with it, attaching them to the posts, and changing the image hyperlinks to point to the uploads section of the new domain (i.e. so that A.com/wp-content/uploads/picture.jpg becomes B.com/wp-content/uploads/picture.jpg).

The other is 25MB, located at C.com. I want to transfer it to D.com.

As the limit on importing is 10MB (I couldn’t change the php.ini file), I used this plugin to break it up into many pieces and import them one by one.

Unfortunately, while it does import the pictures, the attachments on each post vanish, nor are the image hyperlinks updated.

    I.e., a picture at C.com/wp-content/uploads/picture.jpg, remains C.com/wp-content/uploads/picture.jpg.

As I plan to delete C.com, there would be a lot of broken image links, at least until I use the Search and Replace plugin to replace “C.com” with “D.com”.

Is there a way to import a big file properly so that the posts retain all their attachments and their image links are updated, as with smaller WXR files?

    Thanks.
