Create Multisite from Subdomain install

    Hi,

    Need some advice on the best way to enable Multisite on a current WP install.
    What I have
    Intranet.domain.com = Main website

    What I need
    Enable Multisite on the main web above (intranet.domain.com), allowing to create intranet2, intranet3 etc.
    Intranet2 will be accessed via http://www.DOMAIN2.com

    Eeeh, doesn’t really work, since you’re in a subdomain.

    Better would be to install at domain.com, but I get why that’s not possible. You could try to install intranet.domain.com/i2 as a subfolder and map it. No idea if it’d work.

    thx, do you think this is a better approach?

    Register a new domain, like newdomain.com
    Copy existing intranet.newdomain.com to this new domain.
    This will become the Main site
    Then, activate Multisite.
    From there, be able to have
    blog.newdomain.com
    design.newdomain.com

    ?

    Register a new domain, like newdomain.com

    Install WP in newdomain.com

    Activate Multisite.

    Make intranet, blog, design as subsites.
