• Hi

I’ve built a website using the Autos theme from Frog Themes: http://www.findaporsche.com/
I’m generally very happy with it (although it’s still a work in progress). However, I would like to be able to customize the theme a bit. In particular:

1, I’d like to lose the default search box on the left-hand side of the homepage (I don’t need this) and replace it with some friendly intro text.

2, I’d like to be able to make the slides on the homepage clickable so they link to the relevant page.

How easy would this be to do for someone with little experience of web design (i.e. me!).

    Cheers

    Phi

    Nice looking site.

As that’s a commercial theme, and we don’t support those here, please head over to the vendor’s site and post the question there.

Thanks for the reply. I didn’t realize you couldn’t help with commercial sites.

I have contacted Frog and was told to edit the HTML in the sidebar. Useful to an extent but I’m not sure what to put in its place.

    Cheers

Sometimes we can, but the majority of the time we just do not have access to those themes.

General advice we do provide but you’ve got a complex looking theme. I don’t think generic advice will work for you.

Also, while I do not know if that vendor is GPL or not, we want GPL theme providers to be successful and make a living. Part of their business model is providing support which you paid for and we do not want to undermine them.

    Thanks, that’s understandable.
