• Recently discovered after cleaning up some categories that WP gives me a 404 page not found error.

For example, i decided to make an existing category “BREAKING” a subcategory of parent category “NEWS”, thus: collsite.com/news/breaking/1234

(1234 is id of post *permlink)

This gives me a 404 error

    Previously the structure was:
    collsite.com/breaking/1234

    And that works fine.

So how do i make BREAKING a SUB-category of NEWS without screwing up the link to the post?

TIA for any thoughts on this.
