• I’m a new person to wp and had a person install wordpress mu at http://www.bicyclejournals.net for me.
I’m trying to upload a photo and then use that is a post for people to see when they creat their own blog.
I’ve not be able to do this so far. Is there certian steps to linking of a photo from the upload? Is there a way to resize the photo to make sure the placement of the photo in the post won’t displace the sidebars?
    Thanks

  • Below the posting area (in the admin screen), there should be a section called “Upload a Photo” This allows you to Browse your desktop for the appropriate photo. Push the “upload” button and it will upload the photo and create a thumbnail.

You can use the thumbnail so as not to disturb your sidebars. Otherwise, in the <img > tag, you could place width and height constraints.

and make sure you make this option available in your Options dashboard (misc). You will have to set it on and chmod your images directory 777.

Options dashboard in wpmu admin has nothing related to photos?

Otherwise, in the <img > tag, you could place width and height constraints.

But be careful not to do that with a really big photo. It will display within the smaller height and width parameters you set, but users will still be forced to download the larger image. Much better to resize it in a photo editing program before uploading.
