   I am trying to incorporate wordpress into my site design, basically as a news/blog page. I want it very simple. basically one column

   title
   posted by ____ on _____

   entry

   comment

   with some navigation on the bottom, 10 entries per page.
   is there like a wysiwyg WP theme creator?

   Not really a wysiwyg theme creater quite yet (however, google for "Canvas and WordPress" to see something very interesting).
