• I’m trying to add a custom header to my blog. The theme I chose allows custom headers 975 pix by 130 pix. The header image I made is larger. I adjusted the style css header section to be wider and accommodate a larger header, BUT the custom header section still wants to crop the image to a height of 130 px. Do i need a new theme to modify?

  • depending on the theme, you might find the header image height in functions.php of the theme where you can edit it.

You either need to use a new theme, accept that you have to use a 975px by 130px header image, make a child theme with a custom functions.php file or start editing your current theme’s functions.php file.
