  • I will brew something nice for this coming weekend 😉

Just an idea: I use Piwik instead of Google Analytics, because it is easier to use and has no privacy issues.

    Sweet, thanks!

I’ve never heard of Piwik before. Looks pretty slick, though. I’ll have to see if my host is able to install it.

You can set additional URL parameters for the links sent to Facebook with the development version of the plugin. Look below the post editor in the Add Link to Facebook meta box for a new input field. Please let me know if this is what you were searching for.

I see the new input field, however the extra query string parameters I add are not appended to the link that gets posted to Facebook.

I have just tested it again and on my site it is working. Test procedure:

    • Enter post title
    • Enter post text
    • Enter URL parameter: ?test=true
    • Publish post

The link back from Facebook includes ?test=true.

Still not working for me. For a new post, the new meta field looks like this:

    http://example.com/?p=325

followed by the input box. For published posts, the ?p=<postid> isn’t there. My permalink setting is set to Month and Name.

It appears it is not possible to get a permalink for a draft post in a reliable way. For this reason I have changed the approach and IMHO opinion this feature is now better and easier to use. Could you please try the new development version and let me know what you think?
