    I would like to know how WP updates works. If my WP (installed at my site) has updates in WP server I am notified to update (download) new WP files because the WP has ths feature. In case of WP themes, how it works? If I create a WP theme how the users will be notified to update files located at my site?

    I’m Ivory Soap sure (99.99%) that if your theme is successfully updated in the theme repo here, then your users will be notified of the update.

    This is part of the normal support model for themes here; I’m not sure how the check and notification mechanism works exactly.

    If you are hosting your theme somewhere else, you’ll need to work out the mechanism… Give this a read for third party updates.
