• Ok here is the issue.

I have been using WordPress.com for a while (mickisaway.com) anyway I realised I need plugins to take it to the next level. So after much searching I found the issue I need .org.

So I downloaded the bits have a new host site – Bluehost. Loaded Simple Scripts and the WordPress download. I mapped my site across and all that bit.

Now the issue I cannot log into the .org part of the blog. Everything else shows up but NOT the plugin tab.

Have I just blown some money up the wall and done it all wrong or is there a simple solution that I have missed and well I am a bit lame when it comes to tech stuff so please be kind to me.

    Thanks heaps.

    Mick

  • some themes choose not to show the ‘login’ tab –

try to add /wp-login.php after your site url

(tried your posted url this way, and got forwarded to your wordpress.com login ??)

    example:
    site url = http://yoursite.com

    login:
    http://yoursite.com/wp-login.php

once you are logged in, you could try and use the meta widget in the sidebar, or get a plugin for a simpler login widget.

I’m sorry as I said I am naive to a lot of this and just want to try and upload a flash file to my blog.

I can log in ok. What I thought I did was transfer from .COM to .ORG I followed the steps and have paid for Bluehost and can access that ok. I can even FTP Transfer.

All I want is the plugin tab so I can get some plugins but I think I have stuffed it right up. 🙁

I take it I am not meant to get the .COM log in. I have a new logged in supplied by Bluehost for Simple scripts but that just gets rejected.

Thanks for your help so far though 🙂

Sounds like your DNS may not be pointed properly. If you’re still having problems with this, contact your host and double-check your DNS setup with them.
